To Persist / Perseverance

      "Perseverance is invincible. It is through that time in his action destroys and overturns any power. " wrote Plutarque in his time.

       Perseverance consist to maintain our share whatever our feelings, to apply the same effort whether you are motivated or not.
It is not our motivation that produces results, it is our actions. We must therefore continue to stay motivated. Perseverance is the driving motivation and persisting in this effort were born the results that will strengthen our future motivation.

To conclude, we can say that the key to success is to persist in what we do!

How art gives shape to cultural change

      I particularly liked the picture that appears at the 10th minute. We can see a black man dressed in a suit, he seems to be in a basement. There are a lot of light bulbs hanging from the ceiling, some are lighted especially the ones around the man. He seems to be thinking, he has a serious look upon his face. What I like about this picture is the atmosphere of the scene, the contrast between a room that is supposed to be dark and the numerous light bulbs that light it.

What I also like is the way that is used by the artist to introduce us to the man: leave the lights around him, and the other ones off.

      In her speech Thelma Gold explains to the audience how images work, indeed according to her they are catalysts for our reflexion and that for even the most controversial topics.

Then she raises the question of the role of museums in our society, one that she gives us is that it allows a dialogue between cultures, for example “What is the role of the artist in the dialog between the cultures ?”

Thelma Gold raise other questions like :

 Can museums be a catalyst for the reflexion in a community ? Do they give to artists an opportunity to change the "word" ?

       Golden says : “Think about artists, not as content providers,.... but again as real catalysts (for change).”

I agree with her point of view because I think an artwork can have an impact in our society, it could convey a message. Art, artists and art movements have always been part of our history and have always inspired men.

That’s why I think an artist is a real catalyst, for example for dialogue, because their artworks make us ask questions. The art can deliver a message.
