8 secrets of success

The 8 secrets of the success, according to Richard St John,  are :

- Passion
- Work
- Be Good
- Focus
- Push
- Serve
- Ideas
- Persist (Perseverance)

To Persist / Perseverance

"Perseverance is invincible. It is through that time in his action destroys and overturns any power. " wrote Plutarque in his time.

Perseverance consist to maintain our share whatever our feelings, to apply the same effort whether you are motivated or not.
It is not our motivation that produces results, it is our actions. We must therefore continue to stay motivated. Perseverance is the driving motivation and persisting in this effort were born the results that will strengthen our future motivation.

Here is a table which gives the key to success :

Identificationof the target,
the dream to realize
Conception
The way to follow

Actionwithout perseverance

Actionwith perseverance

FAILURE

SUCCESS

To conclude, we can say that the key to success is to persist in what we do!

How art gives shape to cultural change

I particularly liked the picture that appears at the 10th minute. We can see a black man dressed in a suit, he seems to be in a basement. There are a lot of light bulbs hanging from the ceiling, some are lighted especially the ones around the man. He seems to be thinking, he has a serious look upon his face. What I like about this picture is the atmosphere of the scene, the contrast between a room that is supposed to be dark and the numerous light bulbs that light it.
What I also like is the way that is used by the artist to introduce us to the man: leave the lights around him, and the other ones off.

In her speech Thelma Gold explains to the audience how images work, indeed according to her they are catalysts for our reflexion and that for even the most controversial topics.
Then she raises the question of the role of museums in our society, one that she gives us is that it allows a dialogue between cultures, for example “What is the role of the artist in the dialog between the cultures ?”
Thelma Gold raise other questions like :
Can museums be a catalyst for the reflexion in a community ? Do they give to artists an opportunity to change the "word" ?

Golden says : “Think about artists, not as content providers,.... but again as real catalysts (for change).”
I agree with her point of view because I think an artwork can have an impact in our society, it could convey a message. Art, artists and art movements have always been part of our history and have always inspired men.
That’s why I think an artist is a real catalyst, for example for dialogue, because their artworks make us ask questions. The art can deliver a message.

What is art?

In my mind, it’s very difficult to define art. There isn’t just one definition of art. Everyone can define what art is. Art is a subjective point of view. It’s depends on our personality, our culture, our way of life. For example, a painting, a sculpture, music or a landscape could be art

But the definition of art isn’t important. The most important point is what art give us. From the moment we feel something when we see a picture, a sculpture or something else, we can say: “for me, this is art”. Because art should give you emotions, make you think about the meaning of your life in the world. Art should be able to shock you, to change your way of life…

“Art of pleasing, art of persuasion or art to exist ... Art must have a purpose if it is not art!

The origami’s style

Origami (from ori meaning "folding", and kami meaning "paper" ) is the Japanese art of paper folding. This process started in the 17 century AD ( 17 centuries before Jesus Christ was born ) but was popularized in the 19 century.

The Goal:
The goal is to transform a simple paper into a beautiful sculpture. You dispose of many techniques to do this. You need also yours hands to fold the paper and sometimes you can take scissors or glue but it’s not considered as Origami. Origami is just the art of paper folding

One Legend:
The most well known origami model is the Japanese paper crane. There is an old Japanese legend about this crane model. This legend promises that anyone who arrives to fold a thousand origami crane models will receive a wish, such a long life or recovery from illness. Because of this legend, the origami crane became a symbol of peace in Japan.

The process of wine making.

First you must plant grape seed to have a vineyard. Once fully grown you must harvest. Then in order to extract the flavour and aroma you must chop, crush and boil the grapes. After that you must add sugar, acid, nutrients and yeast but in the right proportions to accomplish fermentation. A second fermentation is necessary, after taking out the pulp. When wine is clear and fermentation has stopped, put the wine in bottle and cork securely. Then according to the type of wine you must let it age from six months up to years or tens of years. It is then ready to be drunk.

Bar Of The Year

Good news !
After a short presentation of myself, I am going to make you discover a very nice place in Grenoble. And more precisely a bar in this beautifull city!
This bar is called the “Tordboyaux”. It is a very lively bar where the manager chooses to put music so that people can dance. But the best part of this place, it that its specificity is flavoured wine, whether it be litchi, pear, peach you are bound to find a flavour you like. If you are interessed in going to this bar it is situated near “Notre Dame” in Grenoble, which is not far from Victor Hugo. You really should go and pay a visit to this place, if you are wanting to spend a good time.
